Universal Epic Universe is a monumental testament to the power of imagination and storytelling. As a recent addition to the realm of theme parks, it promises to transport visitors into the heart of their favorite films and franchises, offering an immersive experience unlike any other. From breathtaking attractions to meticulously crafted environments, this new destination invites guests to explore these films and franchises in a way that feels both familiar and exhilaratingly fresh. In this post, I will share my personal perspective on the highlights and unique offerings of Universal Epic Universe, reflecting on how it captures the essence of what makes theme parks a cherished escape for people of all ages.

Theme park view with a large circular fountain in the center, surrounded by green buildings and trees under a clear blue sky.

Celestial Park: The landscapes! All that water and all those fountains were amazing! Stardust Racers remains my favorite ride of the entire park. Atlantic might be one of the coolest restaurants I've ever eaten in as well. The carpeting kept it quiet in there and the food was SO much better than I would have expected. I felt like Celestial Park was spread out, wide, and a very inviting way to start the park.

Burger with sesame bun, fries in a metal cup, and a drink on a wooden table. Plate has white textured design. Relaxed dining scene.

How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk: If you follow me on Instagram, I don't think it was any secret that this was my favorite portal. Haha! I may be a little biased, but I thought the character availability and meet & greets were the best. It could have been a coincidence, but I saw the most characters interacting within the Isle of Berk. Between the music and the landscape, I felt the most immersed in this portal. Hiccup's Wing Gliders was a more thrilling rollercoaster than I was expecting, and that was a pleasant surprise!

Cons: the drink and quick service lines were INSANELY slow, so I didn't even try anything in there, I left.

Viking-themed amusement park with detailed ships, rocky structures, and a tall, spire-like rock. Clear sky and water create a serene mood.

Dark Universe: This was my second favorite portal, hands down! Monster's Unchained has the best technology I've ever seen, and the queue was mostly shaded with cool artwork. Curse of the Werewolf was only okay, nothing special. But my favorite part of Dark Universe was The Burning Blade Tavern. SO COOL!

Cons: I do think a certain population of younger kiddos will be scared in there.

Four people clinking drinks outdoors, featuring colorful beverages. A smiling woman holds a phone in the sunny background.

Super Nintendo World: The construction of this land is so COOL! The way it took us up, to then go back down to ground level, was an extremely efficient way to fit more things in. It made the portal feel cramped, yes, but also like you were actually inside a video game. I've never been a fan, and it's the portal I know the least about, but watching the other gals who did know it, I could tell Universal did a good job. Just watching how cool they thought it all was was enough for me to know my kids would love it.

Cons: HOT< HOT< HOT! All that plastic with no available places for shade, I had to get out of there.

Gray statue of a menacing creature with spiked arms reaches forward in a dimly lit, castle-like setting with stone walls and red banners.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic: By the time we made it to this portal, I was hot, dehydrated, tired, and had had my fair share of drinks by the time I got in there. LOL. My favorite part was undeniably the details put into everything. I didn't think they could possibly add on to Harry Potter anymore, but I was very wrong. I could have spent hours in there, just wandering around with a drink in my hand. The Battle at the Ministry was a great ride, but overly advertised in my opinion. I'd wait an hour or so, but that's about it. Hidden Gem alert: Le Gobelet Noir - a quick service option that was MUCH larger inside than you would have expected. It hosts Paris's dark witches and wizards and I think it would be the perfect place to sit down and cool off.
